Eurofins: completes acquisition of Ascend Clinical

(CercleFinance.com) - Eurofins Scientific announces the completion of the acquisition of Ascend Clinical, the largest independent laboratory for renal dialysis testing in the US.
Based in Sunnyvale, California, this state-of-the-art laboratory employs 170 people.

Ascend's core competencies and customer relationships complement Eurofins' extensive portfolio of pre- and post-transplant services, resulting in a better and broader service offering for customers, the group said.

Patti Hunsader, Ascend's current COO, will take over as President of Ascend Clinical, and the company's management team will remain in place, continuing to drive growth as part of Eurofins' US clinical diagnostics business line.
