FDE: awarded the 'Bleue Lorraine' concession

(CercleFinance.com) - FDE, an energy producer with a negative carbon footprint, has been awarded, by decree dated November 20, 2023, the so-called 'Bleue Lorraine' concession covering a total area of 191 km2, until January 1, 2040, in order to develop its certified gas resources in Lorraine.


' This grant marks a key step in the development of the Group's certified reserves and resources in this strategic asset at the heart of Europe', says the company.

' The valorization of gas resources in the form of decarbonated hydrogen, notably within the framework of the Walloon Recovery Plan with the HECO2 project for hydrogen production by plasmalysis, will enable an even more relevant valorization of these gas reserves and resources present on the concession, and whose net asset value 1 is estimated at 318 ME, based on volumes certified in 2018 by MHA (Sproule Group) and adjusted energy prices '.

Julien Moulin, Chairman of FDE, says: ' The updated development plan will therefore be presented in early 2024 in order to integrate all stakeholders in this development. '
