Ipsen: Berenberg starts monitoring with 'hold' rating

(CercleFinance.com) - Berenberg has started monitoring the pharma group Ipsen's shares on Wednesday with a "hold" rating and target price of 93 euros, as it begins to cover a number of European mid-caps, including the Belgian group UCB.


In its comments, the German broker believes that the fundamentals of the pharmaceutical sector are "healthy" and "sustainable".

Regarding European mid caps, analysts expect average annual sales growth of 6%, with earnings growth of 8% over the next five years, it says.

Berenberg has a buy recommendation on UCB and Lundbeck and a hold recommendation on Ipsen and Vifor.

At noon the Ipsen share is up about 0.5% at 90 euros.
