Alstom: acquisition of B&C Transit

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the acquisition of B&C Transit, a construction and engineering design company that is specialised in rail transport, a transaction that strengthens its position in the North American signalling market.


The acquisition will enable Alstom to efficiently deliver its innovative signalling solutions by extending its ground application and systems engineering capabilities, strengthen its portfolio of solutions and consolidate its presence on the West Coast.

Headquartered in Oakland, California, B&C Transit employs nearly 85 people in the US and reported sales of over 45 million dollars in 2020. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.
