Bureau Veritas: buys block of shares from Wendel

(CercleFinance.com) - Bureau Veritas announces the purchase from Wendel of a block of its own shares, representing a maximum of E100m and around 0.
8% of its share capital, by participating in the accelerated procedure for building an order book.

Wendel remains the main shareholder of Bureau Veritas after the completion of this transaction, with around 26% of the share capital and 41% of the voting rights. Lac1, managed by Bpifrance, will become a new reference investor with around 4% of the share capital.

With this buyback, Bureau Veritas makes significant progress in its share buyback program for a maximum amount of 200 million euros in 2024, aimed at improving shareholder return through increased EPS.

The buyback would be financed in cash from the inspection and certification services group's available cash. It does not affect the group's ability to implement its announced strategic plan, or its development and financing capabilities.
