Bureau Veritas: Q3 sales down 9.6%

(CercleFinance.com) - Bureau Veritas' Q3 2020 sales reached 1,148.
3 million euros, down 9.6% y-o-y. Sales fell by 4.4% on an organic basis, better than the 15.6% decline recorded in Q2.

On an organic basis, three of the group's six businesses achieved average growth of 1.9%: Certification +7.0%, Marine & Offshore +1.9% and Building & Infrastructure +0.6%.

The 3 other businesses recorded falls: Food & Raw Materials -7.5%, Industry -8.2% and Consumer Goods -11.0%.

At 30 September 2020, Bureau Veritas had cash and cash equivalent of 1.9 billion euros and a confirmed undrawn credit facility of 500 million euros.
