Valneva: Brussels approves amendment to purchase agreement

(CercleFinance.com) - Valneva has announced that the European Commission has approved an amendment to the November 2021 advance purchase agreement for its inactivated whole-virus Covid-19 vaccine, VLA2001, which will be signed after a mandatory five-day period.


Under the endorsement, participating Member States will order 1.25 million doses in 2022 and will have the opportunity to order and receive delivery of the same amount later this year.

The first doses will be delivered in the coming weeks to Member States participating in the amended agreement. Valneva will hold stocks for possible additional supply if demand increases.
