Eiffage: beats Vinci in deal for future metro line 16
(CercleFinance.com) - According to Les Echos, Eiffage has beaten Vinci by winning the contract for the construction of the automated metro line 16 of the future Grand Paris Express, a contract which is worth 1.
7 billion euros.
For the time being, the construction and concessions group has not confirmed the information.
Line 16 will link the future Pleyel station to Saint-Denis and Noisy-Champs, two towns in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis. The line will have a dozen stations spread over 29 km and is set for commercial operation, at least officially, at the end of 2023.
In detail, the contract has been won by a consortium including Eiffage, TSO, the railway works subsidiary of the independent French group NGE, and finally Razel-Bec, a subsidiary of Fayat.
