Peugeot SA: finalises takeover of Opel - recovery ahead.

(CercleFinance.com) - Peugeot SA has finalised the acquisition of the European brands Opel and Vauxhall from the US group General Motors (GM).

The deal was announced at the beginning of the year, costing a little over two billion euros.

As a result, in second place, Peugeot SA now has about a 17% share of the European car market.

In the next 100 days, the French car maker intends to announce a "performance plan" aimed at bringing the acquired business to equilibrium in terms of the generation of free operaating cash flow by 2020. At the same time, Peugeot SA forecasts that Opel/Vauxhall's operating margin is expected to reach 2%, before 6% in 2026.
