Michelin: acquires 100% of Allopneus

(CercleFinance.com) - Michelin today announces that it has acquired 100% of Allopneus SAS - a specialist in the online sale and assembly of tyres for individuals - a company in which Michelin has already held a 40% stake since 2015.


While Allopneus sells around 3.6 million passenger car tyres each year and has around 27 million visits to its site, its acquisition will enable the company to strengthen its presence in French e-commerce.

Note that the development of online commerce is an ongoing structural trend in the tyre market.
