Imerys: about to buy business from Chemviron

(CercleFinance.com) - Imerys announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Chemviron, a subsidiary of Calgon Carbon Corporation, with a view to acquiring its European diatomite and perlite activities, thereby expanding its portfolio of products for filtration and life sciences.


The Specialty Minerals Group would thus integrate three industrial and mining sites in France and Italy into its portfolio. By 2023, these activities would represent sales of around E50m and employ around 130 people.

This transaction is subject to the usual closing conditions, including information and consultation procedures with employee representative bodies. It is expected to close by the end of 2024.
