Pernod Ricard: raises FY profit forecasts

(CercleFinance.com) - During its trading update, Pernod Ricard has announced that it is increasing in its target for 2018-19 underlying operating income, now expecting organic growth in profit from recurring operations of c.
+8%, expecting FX to impact this figure by about +20 million euros.

"In an environment that remains uncertain, we aim to continue dynamic and diversified growth across our regions and brands," said Chairman and CEO Alexandre Ricard, who also underlined the roll out of the group's "Transform & Accelerate" strategic plan.

The French spirits giant posted 9m sales of 7,188 million euros, up 4.9% as reported, with organic growth of +6.3%, boosted by emerging markets (+15%).
