AXA: is it about to sell its business in Malaysia?

(CercleFinance.com) - Great Eastern and Generali are said to be in talks for the purchase of AXA and Affin Bank's business activities in Malaysia, Bloomberg said this morning.


The sale of this business could bring in nearly 650 million dollars.

Great Eastern and Generali are currently working on these takeover offers. The first round of negotiations should end by the end of March, Bloomberg said.

Remember that last week AXA already announced an agreement to sell its activities in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to UNIQA Insurance Group. This sale is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2020.
