AccorHotels: investment fund for Africa

(CercleFinance.com) - AccorHotels and Katara Hospitality announce the creation of an investment fund with an investment capacity over and above one billion dollars, targeting the hospitality sector in different sub-Saharan African countries.


This fund will have 500 million dollars of equity, of which 150 million contributed by AccorHotels over the next five to seven years. The balance will be obtained from leverage and investments made jointly with other partners.

These funds will be dedicated to the construction of new hotels as well as the acquisition of existing establishments accompanied by a change of brand, in a region offering solid growth prospects.
