TotalEnergies: partners Safran in greenhouse gas reduction

(CercleFinance.com) - In line with their ambition to be net zero by 2050, TotalEnergies and Safran have signed a strategic partnership to develop technical and commercial solutions to accelerate the reduction of CO2 emissions from the aviation sector.


To begin with, the partnership aims to make current engines compatible with up to 100% sustainable aviation fuels, while, over the longer term, it aims to optimise the energy and environmental efficiency of engine-fuel combinations.

This collaboration could be extended to other areas, such as adapting fuel systems to sustainable aviation fuels or the development of new generation batteries for electric motors.
