Carrefour: cooperation in procurement with Système U

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has announced that it is in exclusive negotiations with Système U, in order to conclude a five-year cooperation agreement that will focus on negotiations in the purchase of the biggest national and international brands.


This cooperation between both retailers in purchasing will be accompanied by increased commitments towards agricultural producers around prices and volumes so as to provide farmers with fair remuneration over time.

This agreement's scope, which is intended to reinforce both groups' competitiveness, will be extended to include non-market purchases. This cooperation is set to begin in the autumn this year for negotiations in 2019.
