Alten: deputy CEO to leave

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday evening Alten announced the departure of its Deputy CEO, Gérald Attia, who has decided to devote himself to a new professional project.


He joined Alten when the company was founded 33 years ago and since 1998 has been in charge of development and international operations (Asia, North America and Eastern Europe).

He was also a member of the company's board of directors.

In a reaction note, analysts at Invest Securities points out that the executive played a "crucial" role within the technology group, of which he was in charge of nearly 40% of the activity, since he was at the head of the geographical areas generating the main organic growth.

His departure - he is not expected to be replaced at this stage - could have a temporary impact on the business and will certainly raise questions, the broker added.

Irrespective, the Alten share is up almost 1% in early trading today, in line with the index in Paris.
