Atos: contract to reinforce a supercomputer in Brazil

(CercleFinance.com) - Atos announces that its Eviden business line has signed a new $19.
4 million contract with the National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC) to extend the capacity of its 'Santos Dumont' supercomputer, based in Petrópolis, Brazil.

Based on its BullSequana XH3000 architecture, this extension will enable Eviden to increase its computing capacity fourfold, confirming the supercomputer's position as the most powerful in Latin America dedicated to academic research.

This upgrade will help the LNCC not only to meet the growing computing demands of the academic community, but also to support its cutting-edge research initiatives, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
