Siemens Gamesa: conditional order in Taiwan

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) announces that it has received a conditional order to supply offshore wind turbines with a 20-year service agreement for the Formosa 2 376-megawatt (MW) offshore project in Taiwan.


The project will consist of 47 SG 8.0-167 DD turbines; its offshore construction is expected to begin in 2020. Its completion remains subject to the consortium's final investment decision behind the project, which includes Macquarie Capital and Swancor Renewable Energy Co.
