BASF: Q1 adjusted EPS down 12.9%

(CercleFinance.com) - BASF announced Q1 sales of E17.
55bn, down 12.2% y-o-y.

Sales fell in all segments: Chemicals (-2.4%), Materials (-10.5%), Industrial Solutions (-4%), Surface Technologies (-26.9%), Nutrition & Care (-5.3%), Agricultural Solutions (-10.6%) and Other (-16%).

EBIT declined 9.5% to E1,689m, while net profit came in at E1,368m, down 12.4% y-o-y.

Adjusted EPS came to E1.68 (-12.9%).

Against this backdrop, BASF SE's Board of Directors and Supervisory Board will propose a dividend of E3.40 per share to its AGM, i.e. the same as the previous year's level.

BASF confirms its FY 2024 forecasts, including EBITDA before special items of E8bn to E8.6bn and FCF of E0.1bn and E0.6bn.
