Allianz: buys real estate in New York

(CercleFinance.com) - Allianz announces that, through its subsidiary Allianz Real Estate, it has invested 342 million euros to buy a 49% stake in an office complex located at 30 Hudson Yards in New York, for which a sale-leaseback agreement has been signed.

The remaining 51% was acquired by Related Companies and a third party investor. This new acquisition, on behalf of some of the group's insurance companies, puts New York in fifth place amongst cities in which Allianz Real Estate has invested the most.

The acquired complex has a surface area of 135,939 m² gross, spread over 26 floors. It is part of New York's second tallest office block (90 floors, 395 metres high) and is home to the city's highest outdoor observation terrace.
