thyssenKrupp: ex-Bayer executive to become CFO

(CercleFinance.com) - Johannes Dietsch, previously CFO at Bayer, will be appointed chief financial officer at thyssenkrupp, the German industrial group said on Friday.

Aged 56, the former Bayer board member is to be given a three-year contract and will take office in February 2019, thyssenkrupp said.

Until his departure in May 2018, Dietsch has overseen numerous major capital market transactions at Bayer, including the IPOs of Lanxess and Covestro.

For the record, thyssenkrupp's CFO since 2011, Guido Kerkhoff, had been appointed as the group's CEO in the summer.

thyssenkrupp also announced on Friday that Peter Walker, a 56 year old Australian, has been named as the new CEO of its elevator technology business.
