Merck KGaA: Q2 EPS up 18%

(CercleFinance.com) - Merck KGaA shares are up nearly 2% in Frankfurt this morning, after the company announced a 17.
9% increase in Q2 EPS to 2.64 euros, with "pre-EBITDA" - its most important financial indicator - up 13.1% to 1.78 billion euros, representing a margin of 32%.

The German health and chemicals group posted a 14.3% increase in net sales to 5.57 billion euros, with all of its business segments contributing to the strong organic sales growth of 6.6% - particularly its "Big 3 drivers".

Merck KGaA has confirmed its forecast for organic growth in net sales (6%-9%) and a pre-tax EBITDA (5%-9%) for FY 2022, with the group expecting stronger positive currency effects than previously estimated.
