Fraport: more optimistic after H1

(CercleFinance.com) - Airport operator Fraport announced on Tuesday that it has returned to profit in H1, thanks to the recent recovery in air traffic.


The company's EBIT for period January to June reached 116.1 million euros, compared with a loss of 210.2 million euros a year ago.

However, revenues fell by 10.9% to 810.9 million euros.

The German group nevertheless said that passenger traffic at Frankfurt airport recovered last month, “leaping” increase almost 200%, with almost 1.8 million passengers carried.

It points out that this positive trend continued in July, with some 2.8 million passengers, up 116% y-o-y.

In spite of all this, the share isn't really taking off today - flat at lunchtime in Frankfurt.
