ABB: new share buyback program of up to $1bn

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announces the launch, from 1 April, of a new share buyback program of up to $1bn.


Based on ABB's current share price, this represents a maximum of approximately 21.3 million shares.

ABB states that this new program is in line with its capital allocation principles aimed at maintaining a strong Investment Grade rating.

Since July 2020, ABB has repurchased approximately 308 million shares for capital reduction purposes for a total amount of approximately $9.4bn.

ABB currently owns approximately 30 million treasury shares.
