Credit Suisse: Morningstar highlights record outflows

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse suffered outflows of E4.
6bn in March, its largest ever in a single month, according to monthly data published by Morningstar on Friday.

The massive outflows coincided with a more global movement, which saw European-domiciled funds record a net outflow of E809m last month, following a E21.7bn inflow in February.

This was the first negative month since November 2022, Morningstar said.

Morningstar says that these outflows are explained by the caution of investors faced with the threat of a global banking crisis, the spectre of a recession and the prospect of more persistent inflation than expected last month.
