Barry Callebaut: H1 recurring profits up

(CercleFinance.com) - Barry Callebaut reported recurring net income of 215.
8m CHF, with recurring EBIT of 339.4m CHF for H1 2023-24, up 0.8% and 7.9% respectively in local currencies.

While the Swiss chocolate group's volumes increased by only 0.7%, the significant rise in cocoa prices drove sales up by 19.6% in local currencies, to 4.64bn CHF.

Barry Callebaut reiterates its FY 2023-24 forecast, i.e. stable volumes and EBIT on a recurring basis at constant exchange rates, while closely monitoring a highly volatile environment.
