USA: weekly jobless claims fall

(CercleFinance.com) - The Labor Department announced that 207,000 new jobless claims were registered in the USA in the week to April 15, down by 5,000 on the previous week.


The four-week moving average - more representative of the underlying trend - came in at 213,250, down by 1,250 on the previous week.250, down 1,250 on the previous week.

Finally, the number of people receiving regular benefits fell by 15,000 to 1,781,000 during the week of April 8, the most recent period available for this statistic.
