Spie: acquires ICG Group in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Spie has announced the the acquisition of around 92% of ICG Group in Germany, which will enable it to penetrate the 5G mobile telecommunications infrastructure market and strengthen its position in the fiber market.
The multi-technical services group sees this as a strategic choice, as Germany is just beginning to roll out fiber across the country and is one of the European countries lagging furthest behind in this area. Employing around 720 highly qualified staff, ICG Group generated sales of around E230m in 2023, with margin levels in excess of 10%, in line with the margins observed in the sector.
