Pernod Ricard: purchase of vineyard land in Provence
(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard has announced a project to acquire the Aux Terres de Ravel estate and its 280 hectares of vines by Sainte Marguerite in Provence, a Côtes-de-Provence classified growth, a transaction which should be completed during the summer.
Owned by the Fayard family and Pernod Ricard, Château Sainte Marguerite will extend over 500 hectares to further develop its Super Premium and Ultra Premium cuvées, Symphonie, Fantastique and Marguerite en Provence. This acquisition project includes the transfer of 20 hectares to several young local winegrowers, with the support of the Société d'Aménagement Foncier et d'Etablissement Rural (SAFER)," says the wine and spirits group.
