Nestlé invests in ocean fund

(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé announces an investment in Ocean 14 Capital Fund I, a fund that 'focuses on promoting a sustainable and regenerative "blue economy" - a sector that uses ocean resources for economic growth and preservation'.


The Swiss food group explains that this investment can offer opportunities to help advance the sustainability journey of one of its key categories, Nestlé Purina PetCare, in particular.

Nestlé says that these include exploring low-carbon ingredients for pet food, ensuring sustainable sourcing within its value chain, and protecting the ocean ecosystem.
