Repsol: H1 net income reaches E1.42bn

(CercleFinance.com) - Repsol has reported net income of E1.
42bn for H1 2023.

This result was driven by increased production, integrated management of the refining system in Spain and progress in customer acquisition and retention, it says.

Between January and June, the refiner's margins fell by 29%, Brent crude oil prices dropped 26% and the US benchmark gas, Henry Hub index fell 54%.

Over the same period, Repsol invested E3.047bn, mainly in Spain and the US. By 2023, the company will devote 35% of its investments to low-carbon projects.

Repsol paid a final dividend of E0.35 gross per share in July. Together with that paid in January, this brings the year's cash dividend to E0.70 gross per share, 11% more than the previous year.
