Paramount: Q3 EPS halved

(CercleFinance.com) - Paramount Global (formerly ViacomCBS) reported a 49% drop in adjusted EPS from continuing operations for Q3 2022, to 0.
39 dollar, as well as a 23% drop in adjusted OIBDA to 786 million dollars.

The parent company of CBS, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, amongst others, nevertheless posted revenues that rose by 5% to 6.92 billion dollars, with growth in its direct-to-consumer and film divisions offsetting a decline in the television division.

The group highlights the success of its streaming platforms, which gained 4.6 million subscribers for Paramount+, as well as the success of the horror film "Smile" in cinemas and "Top Gun: Maverick" in digital sales.
