Qualcomm: license agreement with LG Electronics

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Qualcomm announced the signing of a new licensing agreement - this time with the South Korean smartphone manufacturer LG Electronics (LGE), for the use of its 3G, 4G and 5G patents.


The agreement - signed for a five-year term - lets LGE use the Californian mobile technology specialist's patents for the manufacture of portable devices, in exchange for the payment of royalties.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
