PayPal: reduces FY targets
(CercleFinance.com) - In its quarterly earnings call, PayPal trimmed its 2021 guidance, now expecting adjusted EPS around 4.
60 dollars, with revenue of 25.3 to 25.4 billion dollars, against previous estimates of 4.70 dollars and 25.5 billion dollars respectively.
For its third quarter, the payment solutions group posted adjusted EPS that is up 4% at 1.11 dollar, with revenues up 13% at 6.18 billion dollars, a performance that Oddo BHF says is broadly in line with expectations.
However, pointing to the very positive items in this publication, such as the Venmo/Amazon partnership, and seeing an attractive valuation, Oddo maintains its "outperform" rating on the PayPal stock, despite reducing its target price for it from 380 dollars to 340 dollars.
