IBM: acquires a process mining specialist

(CercleFinance.com) - IBM announced on Thursday that it has acquired myInvenio, an Italian specialist in process mining software, a field that is fairly similar to data mining.


The US IT group says that the acquisition will provide organizations with data-driven software that should help them identify the most impactful business processes to automate using AI - including sales, procurement, production and accounting.

The deal is also expected to help IBM expand its hybrid cloud and artificial intelligence offerings by enhancing its capabilities in business automation.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The IBM share is currently pretty flat in early trading on Thursday.
