GE: to reinforce Germany's power grid
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova has won an order from Amprion for transformers to reinforce the German power grid.
Amprion, one of Germany's four Transmission System Operators (TSOs), has awarded GE Vernova's Grid Solutions business a contract for twelve 400 kV power transformers. The transformers will be manufactured at GE Vernova's grid plant in Mönchengladbach, Germany. With a total capacity of over 5,000 MVA, these power transformers will make a significant contribution to the electricity supply of the 29 million people who live and work in the area covered by the Amprion network.
