GE Vernova: modernizing Iraq's energy infrastructure
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Vernova has announced the successful completion of upgrades to several key power plants in Iraq, significantly improving the performance and output of existing GE Vernova generation units.
The project to upgrade 46 GE Vernova gas turbines powering 12 power plants is expected to add more than 500 megawatts (MW) to the national grid by summer 2025
GE Vernova Advanced Gas Path (AGP) upgrades installed at the Al Mansouriya, Al-Quds and Dhiqar power plants have increased their energy production capacity by 6%
GE Vernova has also carried out comprehensive maintenance projects at several power plants with a total capacity of 3.7 gigawatts under service and upgrade agreements.
