EBay: acquisition of Caramel in auto transactions

(CercleFinance.com) - eBay announced on Monday that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire Caramel, a specialist in secure technologies for online vehicle purchases.


The American group explains that the acquisition of Caramel, a company founded in 2021 and based in Los Angeles (California), will enable it to simplify the automotive transaction experience on its sites.

Caramel's platform encompasses all stages of car acquisition, from administrative formalities to car registration, financing and delivery.

Terms of the transaction, which is expected to be finalized during the first quarter, were not specified.
