USA: UMich index revised down sharply for February

S. consumer confidence worsened in February, according to the University of Michigan index, which came in at 76.9, compared with a preliminary estimate of 79.6 and 79 for the previous month.
However, the press release notes: "Business expectations remain significantly higher than last autumn, with short-term forecasts now 63% higher and long-term forecasts 46% higher than in November 2023".
