USA: durable goods orders down 6.1% in January
(CercleFinance.com) - The Commerce Department reports that US durable goods orders fell by 6.
1% last month compared with the previous month, following a sequential decline of 0.3% in December 2023.
However, excluding the usually erratic transportation sector, where orders plunged by 16.2% in January, US durable goods orders fell by only 0.3% for the first month of the year.
