USA: manufacturing PMI down slightly in November

(CercleFinance.com) - Activity in the US manufacturing sector eased slightly in November, according to S&P Global, whose PMI for the sector came in at 49.
4 for the month, in line with its flash estimate and after 50 for October.

For the record, it is the 50 threshold that separates expansion and contraction in a sector's activity for the PMI indices: the lower the index is below this threshold, the faster the pace of contraction.

New orders declined with production growth slowing in response, while incoming cost inflation eased noticeably and employment fell for the second month in a row.
