USA: PCE price index falls in October
(CercleFinance.com) - The PCE price inflation index stood at 3% year-on-year in October, down 0.
4 points on September, and excluding food and energy, fell from 3.7% to 3.5% month-on-month.
As a reminder, the PCE price index is particularly closely watched by the Fed for its monetary policy. Expressed as a month-on-month change, it stagnated in October on a gross basis, but rose by 0.2% excluding food and energy products.
