Boeing: expected to take off with 787 deliveries to resume

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing shares are expected to rise sharply at the opening bell (+4% in pre-market trading) as the Wall Street Journal says that the FAA has approved the plane maker's inspection and modification plan to resume deliveries of its 787 aircraft.

Jefferies says that this should enable 787 deliveries to resume in August, after being interrupted since June 2021, adding that Boeing could deliver 12 aircraft of this type this year, followed by 84 in 2023.

This assumption leads the broker to update its forecasts for the group, with the 787 contributing to its free cash flow estimates of 720 million dollars in 2022 and 3 billion dollars in 2023, with analysts maintaining their "buy" rating on the stock.
