Boeing: Jefferies still a buyer after 2021 sales

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that it sold 99 commercial aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2021, compared with 59 a year ago (84 737 models, 3 747 models, 8 767 models and 4 777 models).

For the year as a whole, the aircraft manufacturer has announced the sale of 340 aircraft.

Following this announcement, Jefferies confirms its Buy recommendation on the stock, with a target price of 300 dollars.

Jefferies points out that there were no 787 deliveries, compared to 4 a year ago, although this was offset by 78 737 MAX deliveries compared to just 27 in Q4 2020.

"Overall deliveries were better than expected (96 est.) given the 6 greater 737s vs. our ests. offset by four fewer 767s," the analyst says.

"Order activity in December was steady with 80 gross orders and 1 cancellation driving 79 net orders, including a 50 MAX order from ALGT. Net orders were 479 for 2021," Jefferies added.
