Amazon: new AWS infrastructure region in India

(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon Web Services, the cloud services division of online retail giant Amazon, has announced the launch of its second AWS infrastructure region in India, the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region.


AWS said that this region will offer customers more options to run workloads with even greater resiliency and availability, store data securely in India and serve end users with even lower latency.

AWS estimates that it will support an average of over 48,000 full-time jobs per year through a planned investment of over 4.4 billion dollars through to 2030, while serving hundreds of thousands of customers in India.
