Equinor: towards a board shakeup

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor has announced that its nomination committee recommends that the company's general meeting elects Haakon Bruun-Hanssen as a new member of Equinor ASA's board of directors to replace Bjørn Tore Godal, who has been a member of the board of directors since 2010, and who wishes to step down from his position as a board member.


Haakon Bruun-Hanssen has served as Chief of the Norwegian Defence Forces from 2013 to 2020, having previously served as Chief of the Norwegian Joint Operational Headquarters from 2011 to 2013 and Chief of the Royal Norwegian Navy from 2009 to 2011. Prior to this, Haakon Bruun-Hanssen had a long career in the Norwegian military.

The election to Equinor's Board of Directors will take place at the company's general meeting on Wednesday 30 November 2022. It is proposed that the election will take effect from 12 December 2022 and will be effective until the ordinary election of the members elected by the shareholders to the Board of Directors in June 2023.
