Hydro: names Helena Nonka head of corporate development

(CercleFinance.com) - Norwegian aluminum producer Norsk Hydro on Monday named Helena Nonka, the current head of new business for natural resources at Swiss inspection-services company SGS, as vice-president for corporate development.


Nonka, aged 45 years old, will report to CEO Hilde Merete Aasheim and will join the management board, the industrial group said. She will start her new position on 1 April, replacing Arvid Moss, who had been acting in this newly-created job since 2019.

Prior to joining SGS, she worked for global miner Rio Tinto, where she held several commercial and senior roles, including general manager for corporate strategy.
