Unilever: partnership with Arzeda in enzymes

(CercleFinance.com) - Unilever announced on Tuesday that it has signed a partnership with Arzeda, a US company that it has commissioned to develop enzymes designed by artificial intelligence.


Under the three-year agreement, the Seattle-based company will be tasked with discovering new enzymes for the consumer products giant that could improve the sustainability and performance of its laundry and cleaning products.

The Anglo-Dutch group says it plans to use these new developments, which could halve the number of ingredients used, in the manufacture of OMO (Parsley), Sunlight and Surf products.
