STMicro: 10-year PPA in Italy with Centrica Energy

(CercleFinance.com) - STMicroelectronics has announced the signing of a ten-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Centrica Energy Trading, for the supply of renewable energy to its operations in Italy from January 2025.


Centrica will sell approximately 61 GWh of renewable energy per year produced on a new solar farm located in Italy, where ST operates two semiconductor manufacturing plants in Agrate (near Milan) and Catania (Sicily).

This second power purchase agreement in Italy represents another important step towards ST's goal of achieving carbon neutrality in its operations by 2027, it said.
